    About the Organization:

Puentes de Salud works with Latinx immigrant communities across the greater Philadelphia area to advance equity and well-being through high-quality healthcare, social and wellness services, and educational programming. Our Education Department serves youth ages 3–18 and their families through out-of-school-time programs that center multilingualism, academic support, and the exploration of creative and cultural practices. Grounded in community voice and cultural affirmation, our work supports young people in developing the skills, confidence, and pathways needed to thrive in school and beyond.

    About the Program:

This summer, we are piloting a four-week post-secondary readiness Bootcamp serving 15 rising high school seniors in the Philadelphia area. The program was developed in response to the limited college access and postsecondary advising resources available to immigrant students—particularly those who are undocumented and first-generation. Students and families in our community have consistently expressed the need for guidance that reflects their lived experiences and addresses the unique barriers they face navigating higher education in the United States.

The Bootcamp will introduce students to a range of postsecondary pathways, including four-year colleges, two-year colleges, trade schools, and technical programs. Participants will engage in career exploration, prepare for the college application cycle, and receive step-by-step support with the financial aid process. The program also emphasizes professional development, life skills, and first-generation college knowledge to ensure students are equipped not only to apply, but to persist and succeed in the pathway they choose.

    Position Description:
