    Job Description

    Position Overview

    The KIPP NYC Summer Project Employee role within Regional Academics is designed for rising college juniors or seniors of all majors who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in education and nonprofit work.

    In this role, you will support the Teaching & Learning and Student Support Services teams by providing logistical and administrative support throughout the summer. This is an opportunity to contribute to work that directly impacts schools and students, while gaining exposure to regional academic operations.

    This position reports to the Regional Director of Academic Planning and Operations.

    The internship will take place from June 22nd to August 14th, 2026.

    Qualifications

    • A strong alignment with KIPP NYC’s mission and a commitment to supporting student success
    • Interest in education, nonprofit work, and/or systems that support student achievement
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work with urgency, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred
    • Ability to collaborate effectively and contribute to a team-oriented environment
    • Demonstrated character strengths such as grit, optimism, responsibility, and a sense of humor

    Additional Information

    This is an hourly position for 8–10 weeks during Summer 2026, running from June 22nd to August 14th, 2026. The hourly rate for this role is $21.00 per hour.

    _ This is a full-time, in-person role based in New York City_ and will require travel to our schools. If you are not in a school-based position, the cadence and frequency of travel to schools is determined by your leadership team. If you relocate outside of a commutable distance or out of the state of NY, your employment will be subject to review, which may include separation from KIPP NYC. It is important that you notify HR if you move or have plans to relocate.
