    Summer Job Opportunities: Resident Advisor We're looking for fun, creative, energetic, mature individuals to work with high school students at our programs in the United States and Europe. Summerfuel Resident Assistants (RAs) spend the summer living on campus, working as a mentor to high school students from the United States and abroad enrolled in our intensive, yet fun, summer programs. RAs are responsible for the safety and well-being of their students. All RAs live in residence with their students and are directly responsible for a group of approximately ten. RAs directly supervise student conduct, discipline, health and safety. Varied responsibilities include: managing hall dynamics to ensure a positive residence environment, establishing effective communications with students, leading activities and trips during the extracurricular portion of the program and serving as a student information resource. RAs lead extracurricular programming such as: athletics, film screenings, food tastings, talent shows, dances, and more. Staff are expected to arrive for orientation several days before the program start date, and will stay until the day after the program ends to assist in program closing procedures. In 2019, Summerfuel will have the following programs and RA job openings may vary: Language and Business in Barcelona (July 1 - July 20) Leadership and Innovation at Columbia (June 30 - July 20) Social Entrepreneurship at Stanford (June 30 - July 20) Pre-College at UC Berkeley (June 30 - July 27) Pre-College at Oxford, UK (June 30 - July 20) College Admissions Prep at UC Berkeley (July 21 - August 2) College Admissions Prep at Columbia (June 30 - July 26) Christie's Art Now in New York (July 7 - July 20) MIT Design Lab in Boston (July 7 - August 2) Summerfuel at Tufts (Various Programs) (June 30 - July 26 w/extensions to August 2 & August 9) QUALIFICATIONS Minimum age 21 by June of program year Must have completed at least three years of college including at least one year in residence Residence life employment and/or experience working with adolescents preferred For candidates interested in our abroad program: Proficiency in the language and study abroad experience required For candidates interested in our business programs at Columbia or Stanford: Interest in social entrepreneurship, civic engagement and leadership preferred.
