Summit Careers is seeking a Manufacturing Assistant for a customer in Branford, CT

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE MANUFACTURING ASSISTANT:

Blending raw material per formula and record inventory usages in database; notifying Operators of any blending and/or equipment issues.

Removing film rolls from winder; labelling and packaging rolls and preparing skids for shipping.

Entering production-related data into the manufacturing database.

Assisting in the cleaning and assembling of dies and air rings.

Performing and recording preventative maintenance as scheduled.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE FOR THE MANUFACTURING ASSISTANT:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience in manufacturing environment is preferred; previous experience operating blending equipment, forklifts, slitters and winders, and performing die changes and cleaning is desirable.

Knowledge in the use and care of digital scales, micrometers, and hand gauges and ruler and tape measure.

Must demonstrate ability to read, write, speak, and understand written and verbal instructions in the English language, perform basic mathematical equations, and perform basic computer and data entry skills.

Proof of full or in-process COVID-19 vaccination is required.
