Summit Point Church Worship Leader Position: Worship Leader Position Status: Regular Part-time Reports to: Lead Pastor Position Summary: The Worship Leader is responsible for providing vision, leadership, development, and direction for his ministry staff, team leaders, and team members as it pertains to the mission, vision, values, next steps, and strategy of all environments specific to Summit Point Church. Qualifications: - Follower of Jesus - Meets Biblical qualifications for Leadership (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, 1 Peter 5:1-3) - Bachelor's Degree - Previous Ministry Experience with a proven track record of success Job Responsibilities and Duties: - Embrace and implement the Mission, Vision, Values, Next Steps, Strategy, Key Distinctives, and Core Philosophy of Summit Point Church - Responsible for casting and communicating vision and inspiring participation in his ministry areas - Develop a strategy to identify, recruit, train, lead, shepherd, empower, and invest in ministry team leaders and team members - Responsible for the growth and participation of its ministries - Responsible for the Creative Community Team (Musicians, Vocalists, Audio, Visual, Video, Church Online Platform) o Creative Community Team (Worship) Develop weekend worship experiences that ignite celebration & participation Lead Weekend Worship Services & Rehearsals Build a Team of additional Worship Leaders Build a Team of Musicians & Vocalists (utilize contracted and volunteers) Utilize Planning Center for service planning and scheduling Schedule and oversee all guest worship leaders, musicians, vocalists, and media tech volunteers Lead Semi-Annual Nights of Worship o Creative Community Team (Media) Oversee Team Leaders (Audio, Visual, Video, Church Online Platform Hosts) Utilize ProPresenter Software Schedule Audio, Visual, Video, COP Hosts (Planning Center) Maintain and oversee the use, care and operation of all campus media equipment Implement stage design for special events The above summary of duties represents the major tasks and duties. The individual may be called to perform other related tasks under the direction of the Lead Pastor. Job Skills and Requirements 1. Education Requirement: bachelor's degree 2. Ministry Experience: several years of ministry experience with a proven track record of success, ability to manage and lead teams, demonstrates a passion for worship & media ministry (building, leading, coaching) 3. Effective Communications Skills: written, verbal, and interpersonal skills 4. Ability to work well under short deadlines, juggle multiple priorities, recognize and respond to urgent requests, and quickly adjust to changing priorities 5. Ability to build and lead ministry teams 6. Strong work-ethic and team-player 7. Strong organizational and leadership skills 8.
