    HIRING SALARY:       $41,937.00 - $45,929.32 annually; all salary calculations to start at the minimum salary

    MAJOR FUNCTION:  The Program Coordinator, Transportation and Logistics is housed in the Division of Workforce Development, and will report directly to the Director of Continuing Workforce Education.  The Program Coordinator will be responsible for managing the transportation programs, courses, and activities within the Division of Workforce Development. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: 

    • Planning, developing, selling, organizing, and implementing instructional workforce programs and courses that are consistent with needs of worker training in the areas of transportation and logistics. 
    • Facilitating and coordinating innovative delivery of workforce programs and developing Career and Technical Certificate and non-credit programs that meet recognized vocational/industry/organization standards. 
    • Serving as a liaison for the College to the Bureau of Commercial Vehicle & Driver Services to ensure all required processes, regulations and certifications are maintained for a Third-Party Administrator. (Includes being eligible to become a responsible party)
    • Providing direct oversight of the Transportation and Logistics Center of Excellence which houses our transportation and logistics programs.
    • Negotiating and preparing training agreements, contracts, and/or Memoranda’s of Understanding within the transportation and logistic industry sectors.
    • Develop and implement new CWE and CTE programs.
    • Providing administrative support for course logistics including scheduling, material preparation, registration and fee collection, student outreach, classroom/meeting room arrangements, course and instructor packets, evaluations, and certificates of completion for participants. 
    • Supervising and evaluating professional and support staff as assigned.
    • Analyzing and evaluating past participation and the success of existing programs to determine future goals and revisions.   
    • Meet established goals related to student performance.
    • Conduct business development outreach and facilitate industry conversations through an advisory council model.
    • Assisting with the development and implementation of marketing plans and strategies.
    • Overseeing and ensuring student support services are provided including intake, registration, advisement, and job placement opportunities.

    MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:  High school diploma or its equivalent and eight (8) years of industry experience coordinating, implementing, and managing related programs or a combination of education and experience.  The bachelor degree may substitute for four (4) years of the required experience and the master’s degree may substitute for five (5) years of the required experience.  

    SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS WILL DEMONSTRATE THE FOLLOWING:  Knowledge of TCC policies and procedures, as well as FLHSMV, FMCSA, and AAMVA regulations. Knowledge of program assessment. Successful experience and a demonstrated commitment working with diverse populations form a variety of cultural, ethnic, linguistic and socioeconomic backgrounds including age and abilities. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, staff, community partners, industry stakeholders, and the general public. Ability to work independently and follow-through on assigned tasks with limited supervision. Ability to handle many tasks at one time. Ability to organize and manage large projects from inception to completion. Ability to communicate effectively (writing, listening, speaking). Ability to use a computer in an office setting, including word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, internet, email applications. Ability to manage a project budget and ensure compliance of expenditures per the established fiscal budget. Knowledge of Florida Department of Education vocational frameworks. Ability to keep accurate & thorough records.  Ability to access transportation. Local travel and some limited over-night travel required. Ability to manage confidential information and tasks. Ability to function under pressure, meets deadlines, handle multiple requests, and provide detailed follow-through on various tasks.

    REQUIRED:

    • Minimum of five (5) years of aircraft or ICBM Logistics or Aircraft/Maintenance/Sustainment experience

    PREFERRED:

    • Over five (5) years of aircraft or ICBM Logistics or Aircraft/Maintenance/Sustainment experience

     

    EDUCATION

    REQUIRED: Bachelor’s Degree

    PREFERRED: ABET accredited engineering undergraduate degree or ABET accredited graduate STEM degree.

     

    SKILLS

    PREFERRED:      

    • Relevant core and advanced certifications as established/required per local, national and international industry standards or as necessitated by performance expectations associated with level of appointment
    • Experience in the development, planning, and coordination of processes, tracking tools, and checklist(s), for direct implementation on all SATAF/PIO actions.
    • Knowledge and understanding of national, DoD, and U.S. Air Force statutory and regulatory policies, directives, and procedures relating to logistics and operations activities.
    • Ability to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, conduct analysis, devise recommended solutions, and package the entire process in briefings, papers, or reports suitable for executive use and decision-making
    • Skill in oral communications necessary to inform the leadership of program changes, to make presentations to management of a complex nature, and to lead and serve effectively on process teams
    • Skill in written communications to allow effective articulation of assigned tasks and publication of new and updated products
    • Experience navigating NIPR and SIPR type IT systems
    • Must be able to work in a team environment and independently with limited supervision all while developing and maintaining interpersonal relationships.
