    Summit Technologies, Inc. has opportunities for a Senior Front End / Client-Side JAVA Developer to join our team in Washington, DC. Candidates will be responsible for the successful integration and troubleshooting of existing legacy applications into our customer’s SharePoint solution. This is a government position that requires that you be eligible for a Public Trust clearance.

    Responsibilities:

    • Independently develop solutions that meet internal stakeholder requirements.
    • Work within an integrated development team on 3-week sprints in an Agile like environment.
    • Write jQuery scripts to deliver custom solutions leveraging SharePoint RESt API.
    • Interface with RESt API of SharePoint for integration with custom web portals.
    • Develop PowerShell scripts to provide reporting on Site Collections for SharePoint governance.
    • Work with business sponsors and stakeholders to create and document the requirements for internal application solutions.
    • Gather, document, circulate and revise solution requirements and project deliverables.
    • Analyze, define and document requirements for data, workflow and business processes.
    • Manage groups and maintain a site registry detailing all sites, associated URLs, business functions and points of contact.
    • Develop and deliver training materials for revised business processes and solutions.
    • Perform data collection, tracking, customer interaction and coordination.
    • Assist in developing content management best practices and governance.

    Experience & Skills:

    • At least 7 years of experience with enhancing and integrating existing applications using front end / client-side development tools such as JAVA, JavaScript, and jQuery.
    • Three plus years of experience with client-side data access methods including SQL Server 2016, SOAP, RESt API, CSOM, ECMA, CAML, XML/XSL/XSLT.
    • Three plus years of client-side programming experience with HTML5, CSS, XSLT, Angular, Knockout and Ajax required.
    • SharePoint experience w/angular 2, PowerApps, Flow, and Azure AD + Services, a plus.
    • Skilled in working in an Agile like environment with tight sprint deadlines required.
    • Experience with SharePoint development experience a plus.
    • Prior use of the SharePoint client object model (CSOM) to query lists, manipulate list items, create on-demand reports and mashups of data, to deliver easy to understand content a plus.
    • Experience with HTML, CSS, XSLT and Master Pages, to manipulate the look and feel of SharePoint sites and deliver a user-friendly experience a plus.
    • Experience with business process analysis, requirements development and documentation and training materials development.
    • Strong presentation and communication skills (verbal and written).
    • Strong analytical, organizational and conceptual skills.

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or 4 years additional software development experience.
