  • Responsibilities

    Summit Technologies has several positions for Asymmetric Threat Operations Research Analysts (ORSA). In this position, you will provide relevant and timely analytical support to a range of deployed units including Counter-Improvised Explosive Device (C-IED) Support Teams, Special Operations and other organizations. This position requires a Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility. This is an on-site position based in Northern, VA and requires deployments to on a rotational basis.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide support for deployed units, focused on countering improvised threats and the networks that finance, build or employ such threats.
    • Utilize structured and unstructured data and distill the information into a cohesive analytical product.
    • Integrate data from diverse intelligence disciplines, including SIGINT, MASINT, GEOINT, IMINT, and HUMINT to illuminate entities and networks of interest, supporting both conventional and other forces, CONUS and OCONUS.
    • Provide support for multi-intelligence teams, social analytical teams, and special operations analytical teams.
    • Provide actionable, insightful reporting based on data-driven analysis of operations
    • Provide subject matter expertise data mining, statistical, causal and geospatial analysis.
    • Provide analysis of unit operations through Operations Research techniques; produce trends assessments and analysis and C-IED analytical products; and provide information to the end customer regarding the effectiveness of the client initiatives.
    • Enhance the safety and security of deployed forces through Casualty Assessments and mitigation strategies.
    • Provide support C-IED/Counter-Improvised Threat efforts in a current theater of operations, developing pattern analysis methods formulation of recommendations to operational commanders.
    • Facilitate data transfer from theater to CONUS.
    • Support units in mission training events and pre-deployment rehearsals.

    Experience & Skills:

    • 8 years of Operations Research work experience (or 3 years of Operations Research work experience if you have a Master’s degree).
    • 13 years of experience conducting operations analysis in support of DoD, government and/or contractor support preferred.
    • Effective oral and written communications skills.
    • Experience with SAS, Python, ArcGIS and/or Palantir preferred.
    • Previous deployment experience in theater preferred.
    • Previous experience with C-IED TTP’s a plus.
    • Previous experience with Counter-small Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-sUAV) a plus.

    Education & Certifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Mathematics, Physics, Statistics preferred).

    Citizenship:

    • Must be a US citizen

    Security Requirements:

    • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI.
