    Position Summary: The Engineering Manager is responsible for packaging design at

    Duties and Responsibilities

    · Responsible for serial standard of US Packaging machine
    · Responsible for Integration of Packaging Equipment and Ancillary Equipment into US solution
    · Responsible for tooling design for US packaging machines
    · Create models and drawings for parts and assembly groups with Solid Works
    · Create and modify layout drawings in Solid Works and AutoCad
    · Maintain machine records (SAP) and documentation
    · Work with Product Line Manager – Packaging and Director of Technology on packaging product road map
    · Work with Applications Engineer and Director of Technology on customized equipment
    · Work with service team on successful launch and installations of packaging machines in the US market
    · Integrate with global design team to ensure design standards are met
    · Support applications team with internal and external product testing for packaging products
    · Support modification design efforts across the whole portfolio
    · Support with sanitary design expertise across the whole portfolio
    · Support production team with expertise in manufacturing requirements
    · Support supply chain team in cost reduction efforts
    · Duties as assigned

    Required Skills and Abilities

    · Ability to manage multiple, parallel projects using formal project planning techniques
    · Excellent technical skills and be able to create models and drawings in metrical system
    · Basic knowledge of electrical controls, pneumatic controls and hygienic design is required
    · Excellent problem solving ability; Ability to coordinate own and others actions, manage own time
    · Sensitivity to problems; ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong
    · Employee must be personable with excellent communication skills – written and verbal
    · Strong leadership skills and the ability to work in a team environment will be essential
    · Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, customers, and the general public
    · Must be able to follow directions and take instruction
    · German language knowledge preferred but not required

    Education and Experience

    · Bachelor/Master degree in design engineering or 5 years of proven work experience in a related field
    · Experience working with thermoform packaging equipment strongly preferred
    · Proficiency with computers including all proficient with computers including MS Windows, MS Office, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks. Experience with SAP is preferred

    Other Requirements

    · Current valid U.S. driver's license
    · Valid U.S. passport or have the ability to obtain one
    · Must have the ability to travel within North America and Germany Travel Requirements:Up to 30%
