  • Responsibilities

    Responsibilities for Legal Assistant/Administrative Assistant

    • Manage, organize, and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems

    • Knowledgeable with State and Federal courts’ e-filing systems

    • Provide general administrative assistance, such as maintaining the attorney's calendar and

    docketing court deadlines

    • Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents, such as pleadings and contracts

    • Assist and support lawyers and paralegals with workload

    • Communicate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions

    • Collect, examine, and organize evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation

    Qualifications for Legal Assistant/Administrative Assistant

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

    • 5+ years of experience as a legal assistant, legal secretary, paralegal or administrative

    assistant (preferably in a law firm or in a corporate legal department)

    • Detail-oriented and highly organized

    •Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional demeanor

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook; knowledgeable of Excel

    • Ability to work independently, manage large workloads, and keep deadlines
