Planning trip details including optimized flight plans considering fuel stops, passenger load, client requests, and crew arrangements in accordance with FAR 135 or 91 as required
Read and interpret FAA issued weather products such as METAR's, TAF, NOTAMs, wind charts, surface analysis charts, and significant weather charts
Flight follow SAJ aircraft and notify clients, owners, and SAJ of aircraft movement as necessary
Create trip and weather packets for SAJ flight crews performing FAR Part 135 and Part 91 flights using JetInsight software program
Receive post-flight information from flight crews and communicate discrepancies with clients as necessary. Breakdown trip packets to facility client/owner billing
Track and log aircraft and crew duty time
Coordinate with Operations and Maintenance to ensure flight crews and aircraft are available for SAJ flights.
Communicating clearly and effectively with customers and inter-departmentally.
Perform all duties adhering to safety, security, quality policies, and standards of Sun Air Jets
Performs other duties as assigned by the VP of Flight Operations and the Manager of Flight Coordination
Arrange logistics for SAJ trips including but not limited to slots, permits, transportation for domestic and international flights
Communicate essential trips details to flight crews including “day of” changes
Qualifications:
Certified FAA Dispatcher License preferred
Previous experience working as a flight dispatcher preferred but not required
Previous Part 135 Charter experience preferred but not required
Computer literate with intermediate experience using Microsoft office products
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
