    CLAIMS MANAGER

Our Risk team is expanding, and we are seeking a Claims Manager to join our team! The ideal person will have a passion for people, operational excellence, and overall, deliver an exceptional candidate experience. This position will report to: Director – Risk Management and Benefits.

    This role will work closely with other members of the Support Office and Field Operations team. Primary responsibilities include claims management, claims trending, safety, and OSHA. The ideal candidate must be a resourceful, enthusiastic professional, with a well-rounded risk background. 

    This position manages a comprehensive claims program that includes Workers Compensation, a Texas Non-Subscriber Program, General Liability, Property, and Automobile Liability with a goal to reduce claim cost and duration while increasing process efficiency. The Claims Manager position supports various brands:

    • Oversight of TPA in the Management of Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Automobile Liability claims for current year and prior years.
    • Organize and facilitate periodic claims reviews for all lines of casualty claims.
    • Works with accounting department to ensure timely process and payment of claims invoices.
    • Coordinates with Legal department and the TPA on the management of litigation.
    • Provide reports on claims activity.
    • Monitors the financial costs within retentions and works with TPA and insurers on claims that may breach the retention or are required reportable.
    • Analyzes claim trends and coordinates with operations team to reduce frequency and severity.
    • Administrator for Return to Work process.
    • Provide direction and oversight to Texas Non-Subscription.
    • 2+  years of claims experience within a Corporate Risk Management environment or equivalent experience with an insurance carrier or TPA. Experience working with or in the hospitality industry a plus.
    • Exposure to a broad range of lines of commercial insurance.
    • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and reporting.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of employees internally as well as effective communication with outside vendors.
    • Ability to prepare and present financial analysis and cost projections.
