    Job Description

    JOB BRIEF

    Provides leadership, promoting a positive and progressive work environment in alignment with our company mission, vision, values, and policies. The VP of Operation’s primary responsibility is to serve as a bridge between the restaurants and leadership team to help achieve our annual Strategic Plan Initiatives. This position will collaborate with Home Office and QSR Teams, in addition to vendors, to achieve initiatives.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Creates and manages detailed financial plans for all restaurants to meet or exceed the company’s plan in the areas of budget spending, labor efficiency, material efficiency, menu engineering effectiveness, guest service, order accuracy and delivery efficiency across all revenue centers.
    • Drives planning and leads decision making to achieve financial results that optimize top-line sales and bottom-line profitability.
    • Works with Leadership Teams to always ensure high quality product and consistent preparation of menu items and specifications in all restaurants.
    • Creates a positive team member environment and clear development plans; uses data and insight from People & Culture to accelerate development of top performers for growth & opportunity and work out of the organization the bottom performers.
    • Selects and maintains qualified teams in all positions throughout Operations.
    • Monitors the competitive landscape and attends industry events to stay abreast of new initiatives and ways to stay ahead.
    • Embraces an agile work environment and guides others through change and continuous improvement.
    • Works in close collaboration and support of Executive Team to evaluate, develop, and improve sustainable operational systems, service systems and infrastructure designed to meet the high standards of excellence and continued growth of the organization as outlined in annual Strategic Plan Initiatives.
    • Understands current operational challenges in all locations and provides insight and direction for optimization and improvement.
    • Maintains expert level of knowledge and responsibility for forward progress in the areas of food knowledge & acumen, P&L, budgets, scheduling/labor, catering services and execution of catering events.
    • Leverages and optimizes current platforms to improve operational efficiencies
    • Performs all administrative duties accurately and in a timely manner as well as any other duties assigned by the CEO and COO.

    ABOUT YOU

    • Minimum of ten years of leadership experience with a significant amount as COO or Vice President of Operations (or similar) within the QSR industry with a history of a progressive career track.
    • Experience in aggressively expanding early-stage restaurant/multi-unit concepts regionally as well as nationally.
    • Proven track record of delivering strong financial results throughout career and within a growth, multi[1]concept restaurant company.
    • Executive presence and maturity. Strong relationship builder with personal characteristics that include accountability, inclusiveness, fairness, humility, forward and creative thinking combined with sound judgment and the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and discretion.
    • Open to new ideas, coaching and on-going development.
    • Quick to adapt, pivot, learn and teach new skills.
    • Excellent time management and proficient computer skills.
    • Availability to work a flexible schedule which will include long hours, nights, and weekends.
    • Must maintain a good driving record and be able to drive between locations using personal vehicle.
    • Effectively operates independently with minimal direction.
    • Spanish speaking ability a plus.
