REPORTS TO: Centralized Lending Manager
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The assistant manager is expected to function primarily as a processor / closer for the department, so they can keep the production and, the originators focused on generating new leads as well as making sure the staff are rotating loan requests.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Assist the Member Services Manager in all aspects and function of supervising the Member Services Employees and perform all the managing duties in the absence of the manager.

Participate in training, and supervising consumer loan originators.
o Responsible for Centralized Lending branch operations in the absence of the Centralized Lending Manager.
Helps Manager with coaching all centralized lending staff in promoting products and services
o Knowledge of SFCU products and services
Examine, evaluate, and process consumer loans and services. Give feedback on processes to always help improve the workflow.
Help keep staff informed of pertinent changes in operational policy and procedures.
o Participates in conducting branch meetings and huddles.
Assist the Manager and staff with Customer Relations (including issues and resolutions)
Assist the Manager in Planning and developing milestones to meet production goals
Monitoring schedules and assist in maintaining balance with staff
Understand the operations of the branch and be able to oversee all aspects
Must be able to work well with Customer complaints and handle them professionally
Manages the daily workflow of the department as the loan processor / closer
Other duties as assigned.

Education:
High School Graduate or Equivalent (GED) Required
Associates or Graduate Degree in business or finance preferred.
Experience, Skills and Other Requirements:
Must have excellent reading and comprehension skills.
Must have good analytical and audit skills.
Must have good oral and written communication skills along with good listening skills.
Must have knowledge pertaining to the regulations governing lending while following established Lending Policies, Procedures and guidelines of the Credit Union and Federal/State rules and regulations.
Must have excellent computer skills – must be proficient with word processing and spreadsheet programs and a working knowledge of automated systems used in loan underwriting.
Must have excellent customer service and communication skills, and the ability to handle delicate situations with diplomacy and tact.
Must be able to handle stress and meet deadlines.
Must be able to multitask.
Must pay close attention to details.
Prior supervisory experience and consumer lending experience required.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
Must successfully complete BSA training as required
Employee must be bondable (insurable)
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Fridays 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and occasional Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
