    Our client is a leading Automotive manufacturer located in The Triangle area of North Carolina (Raleigh-Durham / Chapel Hill / Cary) with an immediate need for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer. This high-volume manufacturer is making additional investments to keep up with demand of their product and enable the company to produce the latest technology products. They are continually updating equipment with state-of-the-art machinery and upgrading operating systems on its current equipment. This is a rewarding, hands-on role with a great compensation and benefits package including base pay of $95-115,000 annually, full health benefits, 401(k) plan.     Job Description

    The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design, procurement, installation. debug, start-up and operation of plant equipment and projects. Additional duties of the Mechanical Engineer will include:

    • Support production needs for equipment operation and reliability, assist maintenance in troubleshooting equipment and control problems to keep production equipment operational.
    • Prepare design reviews, budgets, schedules, drawings and scopes of work for project implementation.
    • Provide the necessary information / project documentation and training for maintenance and preventative maintenance crews.
    • Responsible for equipment modifications,
    • Project Management and contractor management.

     

    Qualifications

    • BS - Mechanical Engineering degree is required;
    • Five or more years’ engineering experience in a manufacturing environment;
    • Must have strong experience and skills in Project Management with equipment installations, upgrades and plant expansions;
    • Experience with heavy project loads handling multiple projects;
    • Experience with equipment setting, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, piping, conveyors, foundations, structural steel, leveling/alignment, welding, machine design, installation and start-up;
    • A working knowledge of SAP, MS Project, AutoCAD and MS Office;
    • Demonstrated leadership experience in either training, leading or mentoring others.
