FLOOR & CARPET TECHNICIAN *** - 3 Years Experience Suncoast Facility Services Inc. - Saint Petersburg, FL $11 - $13 an hour - Part-time Suncoast Facility Services, based in the St. Petersburg/Tampa Bay area, is a licensed franchisee of MilliCare since 1998. Our primary expertise is in commercial flooring maintenance with a focus on carpet, upholstery, as well as tile, ceramic and resilient flooring. We are expanding our services to include performance coatings and ceramic tile and grout restoration. We are actively seeking experienced floor maintenance technicians to work part-time. Shifts may vary, but primarily 6 hours per shift evenings (approximately 25-30 hours per week). Salary is $11+/hour and is commensurate based upon experience. Hours and position could expand with an opportunity based on performance to become a lead technician, supervisor or operations manager. The ideal candidates MUST have a minimum of 3 years of experience with hard surface floor maintenance. Candidate MUST be able to demonstrate they can strip and wax a VCT floor without supervision. Qualifications: * High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred. * Must be able to speak, read and understand English. * Candidate MUST have a minimum of 3 years of experience with hard surface floor maintenance including performance coatings and tile and grout restoration. * In order to be considered, technician MUST demonstrate they can strip and wax VCT flooring to completion without supervision. * Must be experienced with floor maintenance chemicals and equipment. * Beginning salary is $11+/hour and commensurate based upon experience. * 90 day probation period with assessment for salary increase based on performance. * Ability to work in team environment. * Detail oriented. * Job is physically demanding. * Valid Florida Drivers license with a good driving record. * Drug screen. * Comprehensive criminal background check required. Job Duties Include: * Technician, supervisor and lead technician positions available. * Operate various types of cleaning equipment used for floor care and carpet maintenance such as scrubbers, burnishing machine, carpet extractor and vacuum cleaner. * Stripping, waxing, mopping and buffing of floors using approved cleaning technologies. * Tile and grout restoration. * Application of performance coatings. * Carpet and upholstery cleaning maintenance. * Hours: Weekdays (4 p.m. to 12 a.m. with some weekends (varies) * Comprehensive background check required of all criminal records (criminal, felony and misdemeanor).
