To accomplish this, our compassionate team of neurologists, nurse practitioners, licensed clinical social workers, and aging life care managers perform comprehensive assessments, partner with the person with cognitive decline and their caregiver(s) to develop tailored care plans, provide intensive aging life care management, and deliver behavioral and mental health services.

    About the role:

    As a Neurologist, you will care for people with cognitive decline at all stages of the disease and their caregivers. This includes people with new cognitive decline and established Alzheimer's disease and related dementia diagnoses. You will build and implement clinical guidelines and care protocols and lead a multi-disciplinary team.

    • Responsibilities:
      • Creating and implementing clinical guidelines and care protocols as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
      • Administering neuropsychological and neurobehavioral testing.
      • Conducting comprehensive whole-person and caregiver-focused assessments and creating personalized care plans.
      • Managing complex medication regimens and deprescribing high-risk medications.
      • Bringing cutting-edge treatments from bench to bedside.

    Qualifications:

    • Education & Licensure:
      • Virginia medical license.
      • Board-certified in neurology.
    • Qualities:
      • Emotional intelligence and grit.
      • Ambiguity tolerance and personal initiative.
      • Entrepreneurial spirit and desire to wear many hats.
    • Experience:
      • Evaluating patients with cognitive decline.
      • Managing complex medication regimens and deprescribing high-risk medication.
      • Delivering telehealth services.
      • Preferred: Billing CPT Code 99483 - Cognitive Assessment & Care Plan Service.
