    The beautiful Sundial Beach Resort located on Sanibel Island, Florida is seeking a dynamic leader for an Activities Manager. The Activities Manager is responsible for the management of all aspects of the Activities Department, in accordance with Resort standards. Directs, implements and maintains a service and management philosophy which serves as a guide to respective staff to ensure 100% guest satisfaction.

    Responsible for all aspects of the pool and beach areas, including overall maintenance, daily upkeep, cleanliness and the day to day operations. Provides and models service behavior to guests and team members. Strives to continually improve guest and team member satisfaction and maximize the financial performance in areas of responsibility. Position works with direct reports to carry out departmental strategies.

    Monitors quality, standards and meets the expectations of the guests on a daily basis.

    Creates and coordinate crafts and activities calendar for resort guests on a timely manner.

    Keep all activity areas and equipment clean and maintained.

    Maintaining a monthly inventory of all materials, bicycles, and accessories. Ensuring that all bicycles are in working order.

    Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.

    Creating and maintaining a weekly schedule

    Monitors and manages payroll for department

    Adheres and works within the guidelines of the annual budget for orders and cost control.

    Assisting in the planning and execution of special events with sales department or resort clients

    Have complete knowledge of all policies, standards and procedures of the department.

    Orders and manages necessary supplies. Ensures team members have supplies, equipment, tools, and uniforms necessary to do their jobs.

    Manages pool and beach areas, including overall maintenance, daily upkeep and cleanliness, and the operation of cabanas.

    Improves service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs, provides guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed.

    Communicates expectations and performance objectives to subordinates; subordinates are also open to raise questions and/or concerns.

    Prepares and conducts the performance appraisals on a timely manner.

    Identifies the developmental needs of others and coaches, mentors, or otherwise helps others to improve their knowledge or skills.

    Adherence to all safety rules and regulations.

    Compliance with all resort policies and procedures and described and communicated by management.

    Available for work assignments outside of associate’s customary work schedule. This may include evenings, weekends and holidays.

    Required Skills:

    Must be able to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in written form, with all employees, guests and owners in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.

    Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.

    Must be computer literate with skills in Microsoft Office.

    Excellent Customer Service skills

    Must be good with children

    Must be able to swim

    CPR certified preferred

    2-3 years management experience in recreation
