    • Looking for a strong practitioner with 6 or more years of business requirements elicitation and documentation, data mapping, data analysis, requirements verification and quality assurance as primary job responsibilities.

    • Task Split up: Business Analyst - 30%, Data Analyst - 40%, Testing-- 30%

    • Expert skills in SQL. Able to read and write queries and data transformation scripts and translate to a data mapping document.

    • Advanced understanding of Data Modelling is required .

    • Good knowledge of Datawarehouse concepts, ability to work with Data modeler & DBA’s.

    • Able to perform Data mapping exercise comparing source tables fields and target data sets. To document the analysis, identify the gaps and solutions to resolve the gaps.

    • Informatica, WEBi and Tableau knowledge highly preferred

    Detailed Job Description:

    Responsible for leading and facilitating the communication with IT staff, business customers and other stakeholders from a wide array of backgrounds, implementation services, and support services to assist in the development, implementation and support of business intelligence.

    • Ability to document and speak competently to business objectives, gaps, needs and problems. Once documented, can leverage the knowledge and materials to help the IT team devise product and process solutioning that can be delivered to meet the defined needs of the business users. Works closely with the business users to document business processes. Focuses on specific business user needs such as how data is to be summarized, used in day to day operations and formatted in reports and dashboards.
    • Assists the IT team in the creation of adhoc documentation, including but not limited to; enhancement business requirements, charter contributions, process mapping, data flow diagrams, issue papers, options documents, report/dashboard requirements, requirement traceability matrixes, security assessments and other documents as assigned.
    • Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs feasibility studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives in support of enterprise wide business intelligence. Manages the balance between business requirements and user expectations. Strives for a deeper understanding of our customers’ business drivers.
    • Uses extensive experience as a liaison between users and technologists to drive requirements into design.
    • Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing processes: Confers with personnel of organization unites involved to analyze current business procedures, identify issues, and learn specific business requirements, such as how data is to be summarized, and formats for reports.
    • Works with the team lead and manager to determine a detailed and prioritized list of objectives and activities for current and future projects.
    • Responsibilities include project work enhancing existing/new processes through data sharing, configuration, report writing and metrics.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. Identify potential technology improvements to be leveraged in support of the business. Assist in the creation and maintenance of test plans. Participate in special projects as required.
    • Demonstrates ability to manage competing priorities across multiple efforts at varying stages within the development lifecycle; keep up with fast-paced schedules; and learn new technologies quickly and effectively. Independently performs a variety of complicated tasks and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
    • Works independently and with team members to understand database structure, business process and the correlation between the two. Comfortable in a complex data environment and understanding of data structures.
    • Ability to convey work and results to a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders from both technical and non-technical backgrounds.

Business Process Improvement Must Have 5 yrs. Standardized processes and procedures implementation Must Have 7 yrs. Ability to develop and implement quality assurance processes and procedures including test/use cases Must Have 5 yrs. Develop Design Specifications Must Have 3 yrs. Participate in design reviews Must Have 4 yrs. Documenting business process Must Have 7 yrs.

    INTERVIEW NOTES:

    This position is currently hybrid (90-100% remote but, can require staff to come onside as necessary with sufficient notice).. However, position status is subject to change.

     

    Hybrid/On Site positions: Local candidates or willing to relocate at the candidate's expense. No designated work-space will be assigned however, selected candidate must be available to work at our location as needed. DCF work location is 201 W. Washington Ave., Madison, WI 53703. DCF does not pay for travel time or reimburse for travel expenses.
