    Virtual Events Specialist

    We have an outstanding opportunity for a customer-centric professional to oversee the production of virtual events, including webinars, webcasts, virtual user-meetings, and virtual tradeshows. You will work with multiple marketing teams in a global environment to help plan, produce, and execute virtual events.

    Core Competencies and Duties

    • Plan, product and deploy a webinar, webcast, and virtual events for the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division (CMD)

    • Work hands-on in multiple platforms such as ON24, 6Connex, Webex Events, and CXApps to create, design, and produce virtual events.

    • Responsible to help train event presenters, hosts, and moderators from multiple global regions on how to use the platform for recording, presenting, and managing Q&A.

    • Coordinate support and technical aspects of virtual events with the Marketing Technology team and each respective platform provider.

    • Work with our virtual event marketing strategist to align to customer-centric, consistent, and efficient templates.

    • Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with great attention to detail combined with a strong desire to support pipeline generation.

    • Leverage a PDSA model to implement new initiatives, ensuring a feedback loop is in place to iterate and improve the overall process, efficiencies, and performance.

    • Develop effective documentation including scopes of work, project plans, scope documents, creative briefs, site architecture, and other related business requirements documents.

     

    Skills and Experience

    • 5+ years of digital marketing experience.

    • 3+ years of hands-on webinar and virtual event platform experience, such as: ON24, 6Connex, Webex Events, CXApps, or similar.

    • Minimum Bachelor\'s degree in related profession.

    • Experience with live broadcast/streaming platforms and captioning/translating services.

    • Experience with marketing automation programs such as Eloqua or Marketo.

    • Exhibits superior communication skills; both oral and written, including persuasive, articulate, and concise presentation skills.

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced matrix-based environment and ability to work on multiple concurrent projects.

    • Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problem, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.

    • Assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks, and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization.

    Additional Detail:

    • Is this role temp to perm: Likely, but approval for temp-to-hire has not been decided yet.
    • Assignment duration:12 months
    • Possibility the assignment could be extended: Possible, but would need Tenure Exception.
    • Position hours and days: Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 5:00 pm CST or EST. Will need flexibility once a month to meet outside of core business hours for NA.
    • Interview process: One interview MS Teams
    • What is the required experience that a candidate must have for consideration?
      • This role is 80% production, with 20% project management. The production is focused on setting up webinars in virtual event platforms. The PM tasks are working with Marketing/Marcom teams to ensure professional delivery of webinars.
      • Minimum 2 years experience with hands-on production work in ON24.
      • Additional experience in one or more of the following platforms are a plus: 6Connex, Webex Events, PGI, and/or CXApps.
      • Experience training presenters, hosts, and moderators in virtual event platforms.
      • Experience hosting or providing day-of support for webcasts/webinars a plus.
