We are looking for a qualified Preschool Teacher to join our team who will provide a rich, stimulating, safe and developmentally appropriate environment for young children.

The ideal candidate is dependable, nurturing and detail-oriented with a passion for children within the field of Early Childhood Education and has the ability to work as a team in a busy environment.

As Sunnyside Learning Center is making its expansion into a brand new facility this October we are seeking several teachers to start with us as we open our doors in San Marcos, CA. Come be a part of a dynamic team in a friendly and collaborative work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Including but not limited to the following:

• Develop a careful and creative program suitable for preschoolers (ages 3-5)

• Supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times

• Develop a partnership with parents through effective communication regularly in order to maintain continuity of care between home and school

• Cooperatively collaborate with teammates

• Maintain a clean and organized classroom consistent with health and safety standards

REQUIREMENTS

• Must meet or exceed State Licensing requirements

• Minimum one year teaching experience

• Minimum 12 units in ECE/CD including core classes and curriculum class including Infant/Toddler units

• Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods

• Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms

• Excellent communication and instructional skills

• Certification in EMSA First Aid & CPR

• DPR Training Certificate

• Child Abuse Prevention Certificate

• Fingerprint and Background check clearances

• Health screening and TB test with negative results

• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations

• Immunization clearances for flu, MMR, and DTAP

• AA or above in education or relevant field is preferred

• Child Development Teacher Permit or above through CTC is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
