TITLE: NETWORK ENGINEER
LOCATION: PHOENIX, AZ 85003
DURATION: 6 MONTHS CONTRACT
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Design and build custom applications. • Design, plan, establish, and optimize wireless networks. • Lead and supervise teams. • Provide technical assessment of requirements and definition from conception to launch. • Train and mentor other engineers. • Design and validate RF link performance, quality and reliability. • Use measuring and diagnostic tools to test and adjust equipment. • Create manuals and support documentation. • Develop software for wireless technology. • Optimize existing network by adjusting radio network parameters, adding/deleting of neighbors and recommending possible solutions to hardware problems. • Monitor and analyze statistical and drive test data to improve system performance indicators such as dropped calls, blocked calls, origination failures, handoff features. • Apply propagation theory, cellular theory, RF Engineering tools and antenna
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Five (5) years' experience with wide and local area networks including experience with common-carrier data networks which includes experience with LAN/WAN topology, VoIP, converged voice/data networks, switches, routers, wireless access points, wireless controllers, and VPN's. • Knowledge of principles of business system analysis, including the analysis of procedures, equipment, and methods; firewalls and (ASA, Check Point), Network Load Balancers, and VoIP; expert level knowledge of secure network switching and routing at an enterprise level, wiring and cabling, and network management, and information technology systems • Experience with BGP and OSPF. Design specification development, VPN, wireless networks, and Quality of Service (QoS) experience. Nexus 7000 and 5000 experience.
