  • Responsibilities

    The Product Manager owns SnapNrack’s product portfolio with regard to price, margin, customer experience and competitive advantage. Product Management defines the product vision by gathering and prioritizing product and market opportunities laying out the roadmap to achieve growth, and overseeing the delivering winning products to the marketplace. The Product Manager works closely with engineering, manufacturing, sales and marketing, applications, and Sunrun business partners to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.

    1. Ownership of one or more SnapNrack product lines, from Ideation through end of life;
    2. Collect and maintain intelligence around competitive products, price, delivery and positioning
    3. Analyze product performance, competitiveness, and trends in the marketplace, and develop strategies to capture and maintain market share
    4. Identify project scope and market window of opportunity, and drive new product initiatives to meet project timelines and milestones
    5. Drive initiatives around business metric improvements VAVE, simplification of product offering, inventory reduction
    6. Lead the cross functional team in maintaining and driving improvements around value proposition enhancements and cost reduction for assigned product lines
    7. Develop and maintain responsibility for product requirements throughout the product lifecycle
    8. Coordinate with Sales, finance, and operations on product forecasts, volume outlooks, and pricing; to meet revenue and profitability goals
    9. Coordinate with Operations supply chain on product changes/forecast changes
    10. Develop product expertise with emphasis on part numbers, configurations, and BOM’s
    11. Clear communication to management on issues of concern
    12. Special Projects as assigned;
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Admin, Project Management, Marketing, or related field
    • 5+ years of experience in product management or closely related field
    • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, with ability to interpret technical documents
    • Good judgment and top notch analytical skills
    • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
    • Ability to prioritize and complete a variety of simultaneous tasks with a high level of organization;
    • Able to communicate information effectively, both orally and in writing within SnapNrack as well as external clients, and Sunrun partners
    • Superior discretion and customer service skills
    • Experience with financial valuation and/or budgeting;
    • Extensive Experience with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
    • Some travel required to collaborate with offsite working teams, external resources, key stakeholders, and customers.
