Sales Associate responsibilities include:

Provide excellent customer service

Consistent suggestive selling (helping customers buy) even after the boss leaves

Developing customer connections

Running a cash register

Stocking shelves

Cleaning in multiple areas of the store and lot

Cooking if store has a deli

Selling of age restricted products- obligated to card customers

Other duties assigned by the store manager.

Physical Requirements

Able to work up to a 10 hours shift. Not all shifts are 10 hours shifts.

Able to occasionally lift up to 50 Lbs.

Able to climb a step stool or ladder and possibly stairs.

Able to occasionally work overhead and lift up to 30lbs over your head

Able to work while bending or squatting occasionally

Able to work in different environments; outside all year long, in a cooler or freezer. Temperatures may be hot or freezing.

Will occasionally work with cleaning chemicals

Will occasionally deal with different types of fuel

Willing to work alone.

Will need to dispense bulk propane. (some stores)

Skill Requirements

Able to work in a fast paced environment and be self motivated

Have basic math and money handling skills

Possess good customer relations skills and stay professional at all times

Possibility of working a varied schedule

Ability to communicate with a varied range of people

Ability to be creative and problem solve

Needs to possess time management and organizational skills
