    JOB SUMMARY | At Sunshine Bouquet Company, we owe our success to the execution and efficiency of our operations team. From farm to shelf, the people behind the scenes are the ones who make the biggest impact.  The Operations Manager role encompasses every aspect of our business including planning, HR, quality control, logistics, production, receiving, and shipping.  The ideal candidate will be a be a seasoned management professional that is self-motivated and willing to learn whatever aspect of the floral industry they are not familiar with.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSABILITIES | Operations Manager requirements and responsibilities include the following:

    • Ability to lead a team and execute business goals
    • Responsible for hiring, training, and developing associates.
    • Ensure all departments of the operation are properly staffed during low volume and peak periods.
    • Experience monitoring KPI’s including productivity, turnover, and over time goals
    • Must have familiarity with HR practices and local labor laws
    • Must maintain a safe workplace and adhere to all OSHA requirements.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS | Operations Manager qualifications include the following:

    • 4-Year Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University preferred, but not required.
    • Must have 5+ years of operational management experience, preferably in a DC/Warehouse environment, preferably in the agricultural/perishable sector.
    • Must have working proficiency with Microsoft Excel and entire Office suite.
    • Must be a team player with a positive attitude willing to learn aspects of the business that you may not be familiar with.
    • Must demonstrate flexibility and quick adaptability to changes.
    • A background in mass market floral is helpful, but not required
