Large Construction Company looking for a Purchasing Manager to join our growing organization. The position duties and responsibilities include the following; sourcing materials for new projects, issue and analyze RFPs/proposals/quotes, negotiate and acquire goods and services for best total value, create and identify new and diverse suppliers, collaborate with sales and construction management teams, review contracted pricing and purchase to maximize ROI. The position maintains incoming inventory, delivery times and communicates all necessary information and documentation to construction teams and Senior Management. Schedule Monday through Friday, Saturdays (as necessary). Typical work week 55-60 hrs.

Required Skills and Experience

Bachelors' Degree in Procurement, Finance or related field.

Comprehensive understanding of finance, accounting and basic contracting.

3-5 Years in Construction related position, Preferred

Excellent customer services skills.

Professional appearance and demeanor.

Excellent verbal and written English communication abilities

Highly analytical thinking and strong organizational abilities

Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Previous experience working in a similar setting.

Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP)

Comprehensive understanding of Sage Contractor 100 Accounting Software.
