    Do you enjoy seeing the impact of how the right words can enhance a message and never shy away from tight deadlines? Suntiva is looking for a COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST -- someone whose specialty and core interests center around elevating the communications for a national training center to promote a positive user experience for training center customers. As a COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST, you will be responsible for increasing awareness and adoption of organizational transformations that impact a federal agency's workforce.

    WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING:

    • Providing a range of communications support from strategic communications planning to execution, including developing and disseminating information via a variety of channels including briefings, presentations, newsletters, fact sheets, social media content, talking points, website, etc.
    • Leading the design and branding for national training website and Sharepoint sites promoting consistency in the content, structure, and user experience
    • Writing, editing and designing content for websites and Sharepoint sites, including researching, writing, gathering, organizing, and editing information for publication
    • Designing communication tools to be used, which may include templates, reports for agency management, presentations, meeting tools, all of which support the brand image
    • Editing and proofreading communication materials to abide by AP Style rules
    • Applying change management communication best practices to create messaging that clearly and effectively highlights enterprise transformation activities to identified stakeholders
    • Developing communications media that comply with established industry and agency communication standards and best practices

    WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

    • BS Degree in Communications, Organizational Change Management, Organization Development or related field
    • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust security
    • 7+ years of experience delivering strategic communications across a variety of channels for internal and external audiences
    • Experience supporting US Federal Civilian Agency clients
    • Excellent English communication skills including grammatical standards and sentence structure to develop informational, persuasive and/or technical documentation
    • Extreme attention to detail
    • Proficiency in AP Style
    • Familiarity with relevant materials and processes from graphic design to production
    • Basic knowledge in HTML writing
    • Experience implementing effective quality control processes
    • Ability to support client locations throughout Washington DC Metro area to include Northern VA (NoVA) and Maryland
    • Excellent project and time management skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment

    IF YOU HAVE THIS, IT IS A PLUS:

    • Masters Degree in Communications, Organizational Change Management, Organization Development, Human Resources Management, or related field
    • Experience working in Department of Interior Bureaus (Indian Affairs, Land Management, Ocean Energy Management, Safety and Environmental Enforcement, National Park Service etc.) or Health and Human Services divisions (FDA, NIH, CDC, etc.)
    • Experience growing project work through identifying client needs, writing proposals, developing white papers
