    Suntiva seeks an INSTRUCTIONAL SYSTEMS DESIGNER / TRAINER to join our human capital consulting team dedicated to delivering workforce solutions to federal agencies.  As an Instructional Systems Designer/Trainer, you will be responsible for applying your passion for teaching and creating effective training solutions to provide US government agencies the best learning environment possible for their workforce.

    WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING

    You will work alongside Suntiva team members as you design, develop, implement and evaluate interesting, engaging and informative courses -- training solutions that address identified learner profiles and learning styles.  You will assess learning needs and recommend blended learning solutions that incorporate scenarios, exercises and other activities that appeal to onsite classroom-based learners, as well as virtual participants and e-learners.    

    You will support federal agencies throughout the Washington DC Metro, exposing you to not only a variety of organizations, but also allow you to develop custom solutions that address unique training challenges facing each agency. You will use your training delivery expertise to facilitate training events that dazzle participants and make the learning experience fun.  

    WHAT YOU WILL NEED

    • BS Degree in Instructional Design, Training, Human Resources Management, Organization Development or related field
    • Instructional Systems Design Certification
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Public Trust clearance
    • 10+ years of instructional design experience which can include designing new lesson plans, re-designing or updating existing lesson plans or courses
    • 8+ years of delivering classroom training either in-person and/or virtually
    • Experience supporting US Federal Civilian Agency clients
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Experience implementing effective quality control processes
    • Ability to support client locations throughout Washington DC Metro area to include Northern VA (NoVA) and Maryland
    • Excellent project and time management skills to thrive in a fast-paced, dead-line driven environment
    • Experience growing project work through identifying client needs, writing proposals, developing white papers

      

    IF YOU HAVE THIS, IT IS A PLUS

    • Demonstrated experience designing and developing leadership development, management and supervisory training
    • Experience working in HHS Operating Divisions (e.g., FDA, NIH, CDC, etc.)
