    About The Role:

SUPER73 is currently seeking a well-rounded engineer for our rapidly growing Engineering Department. This candidate will support the team in developing new technologies and engineering solutions across new and current vehicle lines. You will work closely with the Design department to efficiently solve problems and create a product that is both well-engineered and exceptionally designed. We're primed for continued explosive growth, and we're looking for someone that can exhibit poise and calm amidst the storm. For every Engineering role, a passion for bikes and vehicles is mandatory.

    About You:

“Well-rounded” wasn’t just a filler - you are comfortable across multiple disciplines of engineering, especially mechanical and electrical work. Numbers and data are your friends, and you can wrench on a vehicle or program data acquisition tools as needed. You’d need keys to both the mechanical AND electrical labs, of course.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Drive projects on a vehicle-level basis as needed, managing BOM’s and timing with other teams
    • Develop the technologies offered by the Company through collaboration with the engineering team and other departments
    • Participate in and lead brainstorming activities across multiple team members and departments
    • Work in R&D shop to assemble projects and iterate prototypes
    • Work with vendors to manufacture proof of concept, DV and PV level builds
    • Create 3D and 2D CAD files for mechanical and electro-mechanical components design
    • Create and develop detailed engineering and product specifications with the user experience and innovation at the forefront
    • Provide engineering assistance to other departments through CAD, FEA or in-house developed data acquisition tools
    • Develop and manage responsible component and system data through the PDM environment
    • Define and execute validation procedures to ensure quality parts are released, using design failure mode effect analysis (DFMEA), design for manufacture (DFM) and design verification planning (DVP)

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while still being able to prioritize projects and manage his or her own time.
    • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with 3-5 years of experience
    • Strong engineering fundamentals including thermodynamics, dynamics, and mechanics
    • Skilled in CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
    • Strong experience with FEA including thermal and mechanical modeling
    • Strong knowledge of material properties
    • Skilled at creating and testing analytical models of critical design features
    • Working knowledge of mass production manufacturing processes
    • Familiarity with PDM or vault systems for mechanical CAD
    • Skilled at creating engineering documentation ranging from mechanical part drawings to technical documents
    • Familiarity with hardware development cycles
    • Experience with electric powertrain and battery pack design a plus
    • Experience with vehicle design a plus
    • Strong work ethic and willingness to do what is needed to get the job done
