    About the role:

    LOCATED IN NEW TAIPEI CITY, TAIWAN, the Vice President of Supply Chain will oversee the production and processes for Super73’s outsourced supply chain. They will collaborate with manufacturing partners on establishing production efficiencies, costs targets, and performance/quality goals. They will initiate plans and processes that minimize manufacturing costs and optimize resource utilization. They will spend most of their time in Taiwan, with frequent travel to mainland China and be tasked with establishing a team that will be the daily interface with our manufacturing partners and component suppliers.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Hands-on position accountable for setting and implementing manufacturing, production and quality strategies to ensure that all product, quality, and yield metrics are met or exceeded. 
    • Oversight of the production process, WIP/raw material inventory, and tooling; making adjustments to production schedule as needed to assure the attainment of business objectives while insuring products standards will exceed company quality standards. 
    • Facilitate collaboration and co-ordinate between Planning and Suppliers to produce a Supply Response that maximizes ROI and meets business and organizational goals. 
    • Lead the supplier qualification process, assessing suppliers based on industry best practices including, on-site and partner capabilities; manpower and resources; quality and production controls. 
    • Implement operating procedures for QA department, including, corrective action report implementation (CAR), engineering changes (ECx), document/part control, ICQ, OCQ, in-process quality controls, quality metrics tracking, and daily/weekly reporting of first pass yield. 
    • Support electrical and mechanical DFx initiatives, working with development and manufacturing teams to achieve cost targets and maintain product/production quality levels. 
    • Ensure information and procedures are properly communicated, understood, and carried out; drive the implementation of product modifications to ensure quality standards are met. 
    • Review daily/weekly production/shipment actuals versus plans, determine and implement any required actions to align production to required supply; communicate with other departments and act on any required changes. 
    • Manage the coordination of manufacturing partners and other departments to analyze, identify, and resolve product availability issues/problems. 
    • Manage SKU mix from production perspective to rapidly provide supply response for any demand changes – ability to understand complete supply chain for the products, establish clear-to-build for key components, help suppliers in managing safety stock for critical components, across all SKUs 
    • Participate in weekly Demand-Supply calls with US team to provide visibility into potential supply changes and understand critical demand requirements

     

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • Proven track record in managing production and quality, preferably in the consumer electronics market, working with Asian based manufacturers. 
    • Knowledge and experience in production / manufacturing processes and techniques, raw materials management, quality control programs, engineering and technology principles and practices. 
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, in a fully outsourced supply chain model; setting priorities, identifying and addressing problems, and meeting deadlines. 
    • Strong leadership skills and attention to detail in a manufacturing/production environment. 
    • High level of communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate efforts around process improvement. 
    • Ability to manage resolution of complex issues with an extended/overseas team in a fast-paced development environment. 
    • Strong business acumen with an ability to drive and make good business decisions that are typically complex and broad in nature. 
    • Must be fluent (speak, read and write) in English and relevant local languages. 
    • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Business, Engineering, Industrial Technology or other relevant field of study (or equivalent experience.) 
    • Minimum of 10 years experience working with Asian based manufacturers.
