SCOPE OF WORK:
You will be part of a team-building out a cutting-edge platform for capturing, transforming, storing, and delivering 3D assets for use in VFX and film production workflows. The goal will be able to provide technology services that allow storytellers the ability to scout and review props, sets, and locations at scale. The range of services will cover technologies such as photogrammetry, automated drone photography, lidar scanning, and game engine rendering.
RESPONSIBILITIES: ● Work closely with filmmakers/business stakeholders to develop a product vision & roadmap ● Define product features, capture epics, user stories, and effectively communicate with our engineering team to ensure a successful product launch ● Evaluate information from multiple sources and help distinguish user requests from user needs ● Adhere to Agile development methodology and best practices ● Directly manage a cross-functional team including product, engineering, and operations ● Work closely with the design team to refine UI/UX to match product requirements ● Work with the Project Manager to help schedule and assign user stories to a team of developers working on several concurrent projects all while ensuring proper prioritization of work ● Work closely with engineering leads and subject matter experts to formulate technical requirements for various products ranging from video encoding/streaming to 3D model rendering ● Work closely with R&D and Innovation teams to explore new technologies and how they can be integrated into the core Studio Platform ● Arrange client reviews of software under development ensuring client satisfaction ● Measure and report on key success metrics to ensure our software is making an impact ● Analyze and research trends in software development and digital asset pipelines
BASIC QUALIFICATION:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
● 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in media & entertainment ● 3+ years of experience using Agile SCRUM methodologies ● Strong problem-solving skills ● Strong written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences ● Strong business process definition capabilities, including the ability to capture process, flows visually according to standard methodologies ● Ability to learn, understand and most importantly apply new technologies ● Deep experience with building applications on cloud platforms specifically AWS and Azure ● Understanding of modular application architectures and the concept of micro-services ● Knowledge of production workflows a plus ● Experience with VFX/Photogrammetry software (Agisoft Metashape, Blender, Reality Capture) ● Experience with photogrammetry capture solutions (Lidar, Drones, volumetric stages, etc.)
