    Superintendent / Senior Superintendent – Multi-Family Developer

    Portland, OR

Our client, a growing real estate development and construction company, is looking for a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent to join their team in Portland. This is a great opportunity for either an up-and-coming Superintendent with 4+ years of multifamily experience or a seasoned Senior Superintendent who is ready to take on larger, more complex projects.

This role offers flexibility depending on experience level. A more junior Superintendent may step into a key field leadership role with strong support from the project team, while a Senior Superintendent will have the opportunity to lead projects more independently and play a larger role in overall field strategy.

You’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day field operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining schedules, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.

    Superintendent Responsibilities:

    • Oversee daily field operations from project start through closeout.
    • Coordinate subcontractors, material deliveries, and project schedules.
    • Maintain daily field reports and monitor construction progress.
    • Collaborate with the Project Manager, subcontractors, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
    • Perform quality control inspections and resolve field issues.
    • Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and schedules.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with project teams, subcontractors, and local officials.
    • For senior-level candidates, provide broader field leadership, mentor junior team members, and take ownership of larger or more complex projects.

    Superintendent Requirements:

    • Experience may range from a developing Superintendent ready for the next step to a Senior Superintendent with deep multifamily project leadership experience.
    • 4+ years’ experience as a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent on multifamily construction projects is required.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Microsoft Project, or similar construction software is a plus.
    • Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, quality control, and job site safety.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
    • High school diploma or GED required.

    Company Benefits:

    • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
    • 401K with matching
    • Generous PTO and holidays
    • Training and development opportunities

    Compensation: $120K-$180K DOE + bonus
