Marolf Environmental is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations for wastewater treatment systems and lift station construction projects across the region.
This is a hands-on field leadership role responsible for managing crews, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The role involves regular travel to active construction sites, and candidates must be comfortable working on projects that may require time away from the headquarters location.
Key Responsibilities:
Construction & Field Execution
Oversee daily field operations for wastewater treatment and lift station projects
Coordinate crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials
Maintain project schedules and cost control
Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications
Technical Oversight
Supervise installation of packaged wastewater treatment systems and lift stations
Ensure proper installation of pumps, piping, and underground utilities
Troubleshoot field and system issues
Ensure all work meets project specifications and engineering standards
Leadership
Train and mentor field personnel and crews
Assign daily tasks and monitor productivity and performance
Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and safety
Quality & Safety
Enforce OSHA and company safety standards
Coordinate inspections and address deficiencies
Ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental requirements
Communication
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and clients
Provide project progress updates
Assist with project closeout and documentation
Travel & Work Expectations:
This role requires frequent travel to project sites depending on project location and duration.
Projects may involve:
Local work near headquarters
Travel to regional job sites
Periods of time spent working on-site for extended project durations
Candidates must be comfortable with traveling for work assignments as needed.
Our headquarters is located in New Port Richey, Florida, and relocation may be required to be within a commutable distance to the headquarters location.
Qualifications:
Required:
3+ years of construction or project supervision experience
1+ year of underground utilities experience
1+ year of wastewater treatment or lift station experience
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
Strong job site coordination and scheduling experience
Valid driver’s license (required)
Willingness and ability to travel regularly to project sites
Ability to work safely on active construction sites
Preferred:
Experience with municipal infrastructure projects
Background in water/wastewater utilities
Strong leadership and team development skills
