    Court Program Administrator

    SALARY GRADE: 26 - $76,660

    Unclassified Position in the Superior Court Administrator's Office

    (Current Vacancy in the Alternative Dispute Resolution Division)

    Job Summary:

    Manages daily operations and directs multiple judicial support units of the Fulton County Court system.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Directs the day-to-day operations of multiple support units, which include managing the staff and systems of the courthouse.

    Supervises assigned staff, including hiring, evaluating, disciplining, and terminating employees as required.

    Develops unit policies and procedures in accordance with State Court system directives.

    Act as the court liaison, managing the court’s budget and directing employees.

    Develops, interprets, and enforces policies and procedures. Interprets changes in law, policies, and procedures and disseminates to interested parties.

    Reviews and signs revenue bonds. Generates, trouble shoots, and corrects disposition transmissions.

    Identifies ways to improve effectiveness and efficiencies.

    Responds to complaints and queries concerning court operations.

    Manages assigned staff, including establishing workloads, prioritizing work assignments, resolving issues, evaluating performance, and administering disciplinary action as required.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    Requires knowledge of principles and practices of budget development and administration. Civil, criminal, and domestic laws and procedures governing area of assignment. Court policies and procedures related to area of assignment. Knowledge of Court Performance and indicator. Understanding of pr General office practices, procedures, equipment, and technology.Requires skill in managing and supervising staff. Preparing and presenting oral and written communication/reports. Developing and managing budgets. Organizing and prioritizing work. Delivering high quality, customer-focused service. Resolving problems and making decisions. Reviewing documents to ensure conformance with procedural requirements. Using spreadsheet, database, word processing, and presentation software. Building sustainable working relationships with County personnel, officials, and the public. Using spreadsheet, database, word processing, and presentation software. Communicating effectively with coworkers, supervisor, and the public.

    Education and Experience:

    Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, criminal justice, or related field required; and five or more years of progressively responsible administrative experience (experience in a court system or legal field is preferred), including three or more years of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Licensing Requirements:

    May require valid Georgia driver’s license.

    Physical Requirements:

    Work is typically performed in an office-like environment. May work in high conflict situations and with difficult, sometimes dangerous parties. Positions in this class typically require fingering, driving, talking, hearing, and seeing.

    Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
