    Court Administrator

    Unclassified Position in Superior Court Administration

    Salary Grade 35 - Hiring Range: $145,709 - $182,136

    Position Summary:

    The Court Administrator works under the general direction of the Chief Judge and directs the programmatic, operational, and administrative infrastructure of Fulton County Superior Court. The Court Administrator is responsible for the administration of justice through planning and supervision of non-judicial functions of the Court to include case and court performance management; records management; organizational governance; budgeting and accounting; statistical and computer system data analysis; technology management; grant writing and management; public relations; internal controls and human resources; and the selection, training, evaluation, and disciplining of non-judicial staff. The Court Administrator also serves as the District Court Administrator for the Fifth Judicial Circuit. The Court Administrator develops and ensures implementation of procedures and plans on behalf of the Court -- and often on behalf of the entire local justice system -- to support the effective and efficient operation of the Circuit, its Courts, its judges, and nearly 300 employees.

    Qualifications:

    Top candidates will possess the education and experience necessary to ensure effective leadership of the Court’s administrative operations. Required qualifications include:

    Master’s degree in public administration, business administration, judicial/court administration, or sufficiently similar field.

    At least seven (7) years of management experience in court or justice administration with at least four (4) years spent in a leadership/management capacity.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Knowledge of automated software programs related to criminal justice and financial systems.

    Knowledge of standardized reporting framework for court caseload statistics.

    Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to motivate and establish common goals and objects with employees at all levels.

    Experience developing and coordinating programs and projects, strong policy development, budget preparation and administration, and keen knowledge of evaluating and reporting on the effectiveness of various programs.

    Compensation:

    The Court offers a competitive benefits and compensation package. The hiring salary range is $145,709 -$182,136. Starting salary within this range is commensurate with experience. Additional benefits information is included on the following page.
