    Superior Farms is an employee-owned company and the leading purveyor of farm-to-table American lamb. We proudly source lamb from family farmers and ranchers across the Western US so that we can supply the highest quality natural lamb to our retail and foodservice customers.

    **Job Summary: **The Billing Clerk is responsible for compiling data, generating invoices, and preparing bills in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Accurately enter customer orders into the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system on a weekly basis.
    • Maintain spreadsheets to record carcass information, ensuring data accuracy and completeness for management review.
    • Prepare bills of lading and invoices that include comprehensive details such as carcass weight, sold items, payment amounts, credit terms, shipment dates, and dispatch them promptly via appropriate channels.
    • Receive and process transportation route and load sheets, ensuring accurate documentation of logistical information.
    • Generate daily reports to track registered and short shipments, enabling effective monitoring of inventory and identifying any discrepancies.
    • Calculate freight costs, including trailer details, carrier information, seal numbers, pallet quantities, and pallet maps, and promptly communicate this information to management.
    • Notify the shipping manager via email about the estimated arrival time of trailers.
    • Organize and maintain invoice files on a daily and/or weekly basis, ensuring proper documentation and easy retrieval.

    Education/Experience:

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 6-12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Must be able to interface well with all employees of the Company and to represent the Company in a highly professional manner. Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Must be multi-task oriented.

    Language Ability:

    Ability to understand written and verbal instructions. Ability to effectively read, speak and communicate in English. Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquires or complaints.

    Math Ability:

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    **Reasoning Ability: **

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

    **Computer Skills: **

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of various computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation and/or ERP software as well as the ability to type and perform 10-key by touch.
