    Job Description:

    Superior Landscape & Irrigation is looking for a Landscape Design Apprentice. We are a full-service design-build landscaper and a proud recipient of numerous awards.     Overview:

    We are searching for a highly energetic Landscape Design Apprentice who would be measuring jobs with the other landscape designers, using CAD skills to draft base plans, designing, and estimating smaller jobs and occasionally jumping in the field to learn the installation process. Landscape Designer will report to the Senior Landscape Designer.

    Responsibilities:

    Assist Superior Landscape designers with:

    · Site measurements and pictures

    · Develop site layout plan on Dynascape.

    · Photograph completed project and construction photos (jobs in progress)

    · Run material or equipment to job sites.

    · Collect material supplies from vendors.

    · Perform material take-offs from plans.

    · Call clients with schedule updates.

    · Call city planning departments in metro area to discover permit requirements.

    · Building/Zoning permit applications

    · Call to get lot surveys for leads.

    · Assemble project presentation portfolios.

    · Track and call past leads.

    Pursue leads and referrals – follow up with pre-qualified leads and convert leads into clients for smaller jobs ($3,000-$30,000).

    Design landscape plans and estimates for customers and leads; present to customers and leads.

    Set appointment, attend initial meeting, in-office plan review, contract signing, start of project, periodic visits (as needed), and final project walk-through/collection.

    Manage and track progress of your projects, including change orders.

    Maintain consistent and timely communication to clients.

    Communicate and collect payment as needed.

    Check and respond to your e-mails and phone calls in a timely manner.

    Assist with marketing, Facebook pages and any other social media, as necessary.

    Assist with and attend Home Shows and Trade Shows

    Requirements:

    Finishing up a professional degree in Landscape Design or entry level applicant

    Proficiency using CAD-based landscape software (Dynascape preferred)

    Strong working knowledge of landscape construction and completing field measurements.
