Translator internship Supertext - Santa Monica, CA 90401 Full-time, Internship Were looking for a trainee to join our creative team in Silicon Beach. Supertext in a nutshell Supertext is an online translation and copywriting agency that has grown from a Swiss startup to a full-blown LSP with branches in Zurich, Lausanne, Berlin, and Santa Monica. Weve been putting in a good word for our clients since 2005 with copywriting, translating, localizing, editing and proofreading services in more than 80 languages. Our unique platform makes ordering language services as easy as booking a flight or ride. For our newest location in Silicon Beach, we are looking for a trainee to join the English language team. This is a six-month paid traineeship, with great potential for a long-term position either in the US or one of our European offices. Purpose of the role This traineeship is a stepping stone to a full-blown translation or language management position at Supertext. The role is crucial to our success: we need creative translators and diligent proofreaders to satisfy our demanding clients. And we need a teamplayer who will support the English team in Zurich and Berlin and help out our growing Santa Monica team with project management - freeing up their time to focus on the needs of our clients and growing the business. Pen portrait I am fluent in German and have a flair for writing in English - my mother tongue. That's why my degree was focused on language and translation. I'm super organized with a great attention to detail. What I lack in experience, I definitely make up for in enthusiasm and willingness to put myself out there! I'm creative and IT savvy, and love working as part of a team. I have a permit to work in the US, and a university degree in translation or a related field. My ideal day would involve multi-tasking, translating and working towards deadlines - dealing with new challenges as and when they arise. And I wouldn't always need to involve my boss.
