    Agency Type: Class B Non-Medical Home Care Agency

    Location: One You Love Homecare Denver / 2301 Blake Street, Denver, CO 80205

    FLSA Status: Hourly – Non-Exempt

    Position Summary:

    The Caregiver Supervisor is responsible for the recruitment, training, oversight, and performance evaluation of caregivers who provide non-medical home care services to clients in their homes. This position ensures that all services are delivered in compliance with Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) regulations under 6 CCR 1011-1, Chapter 26, agency policies, and each client’s Care Plan.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Caregiver Recruiting, Supervision and Field Oversight

    Recruit, hire, manage and evaluate caregivers.

    Supervise all caregivers to ensure services are provided safely, effectively, and in accordance with the client’s individual Care Plan.

    Conduct initial and ongoing supervisory visits as required by 6 CCR 1011-1, Chapter 26, Section 7.2(A–D):

    Initial visit: Conducted within 30 days of the start of services.

    Ongoing visits: Conducted at least every 90 days thereafter.

    Supervisory visits must be documented and include evaluation of caregiver performance, client satisfaction, and continued appropriateness of the Care Plan.

    Observe caregivers during home visits to assess service quality and adherence to the plan of care.

    1. Training and Competency

    Conduct new hire orientation and ongoing training to ensure compliance with agency and state standards.

    Verify and document caregiver competencies as required by Section 7.2(C), including skills relevant to personal care, homemaking, and client safety.

    Maintain accurate training and supervision records in personnel files.

    1. Scheduling and Coordination

    Support scheduling and coordination of caregiver assignments to ensure consistent service delivery.

    Collaborate with the agency scheduler to fill open shifts and respond to emergency staffing needs.

    Participate in on-call rotation as assigned by the Homecare Agency Manager.

    1. Quality Assurance and Compliance

    Perform quality assurance checks on caregiver documentation and timesheets.

    Identify and report any incidents, accidents, or changes in client condition per Section 5.9 (Occurrence Reporting).

    Ensure caregiver files remain current, including background checks, CAPS checks, and required credentials.

    Participate in CDPHE audits, compliance reviews, and corrective action plans as needed.

    1. Client and Family Relations

    Serve as a liaison between the client, caregiver, and agency to promote open communication and satisfaction.

    Address client concerns promptly and document follow-up actions.

    Support client re-assessment and revisions to the Client Care Plan when service needs change.

    Qualifications:

    Education and Experience:

    High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Nursing, or related field (preferred).

    Minimum three (3) years of experience in home care, caregiving, or health-related services.

    At least two (2) years of supervisory or leadership experience in a home care or healthcare setting preferred.

    Knowledge and Skils:

    Familiarity with 6 CCR 1011-1, Chapter 26 home care regulations.

    Strong leadership, communication, and documentation skills.

    Ability to coach and motivate caregivers while maintaining compliance.

    Proficient in computer and scheduling software used for home care management (Well Sky and Career Plug a Plus)

    Compassionate, professional, and client-centered approach.

    Other Requirements:

    Valid Colorado driver’s license and reliable, insured transportation.

    Must pass Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) background check and CAPS check.

    Ability to travel locally within the agency’s service area for supervisory visits.

    Physical and Work Requirements:

    Frequent standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs).

    Work is divided between office duties and in-home supervisory visits.

    May require flexible hours to meet client and caregiver needs.

    Compensation and Benefits:

    Competitive hourly or salaried pay based on experience.

    Mileage reimbursement for field visits.
