    POSITION SUMMARY

    Provide the necessary leadership to the Tool and Die Associates to achieve optimal levels of safety, quality, productivity and delivery to assure internal and external customer satisfaction.

    SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

    · Support the enterprise’s mission, vision, values and goals in performance of daily activities.

    · Responsible for performance feedback and leadership of all direct reports including mentoring, coaching, counseling and corrective action when situations dictate.

    · Coordinate and assist in new Tool and Die Associates orientation.

    · Coordinate line activities with the production supervisor and work team.

    · Provide leadership and promote positive morale and assure a total team concept.

    · Communicate and prioritize daily work assignments to the team.

    · Enter work orders into the MLS system.

    · Assure work orders are completed in an efficient and timely manner.

    · Develop and manage die PM schedules for long term and mini PM’s.

    · Supports die change operation and assist in new job set-up.

    · Communicate line issues to supervisors on other shifts.

    · Communicate the overtime schedule to the Tool and Die Team.

    · Responsible for overall department coordination and communication.

    · Effectively communicate die issues to the other Tool and Die Manager.

    · Provide input into the individual work team performance.

    · Assist, as required, plant activities to achieve quality, productivity and cost reduction goals.

    · Provide the proactive leadership necessary to achieve and maintain a continuous improvement mindset for the work team.

    · Champion assigned REngineering changes communicate and coordinate accordingly to all departments.

    · Support plant activities towards achieving customer awards and Quality registration (ex. TS 16949, ISO 14001, etc.)

    · Participate in root cause analysis and team problem solving activities (ex. 8D reports, department meetings, etc.).

    · Responsible for reporting all accidents or injuries, however minor and all workplace hazards to the department leader immediately.

    · Assign clear responsibilities for Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and hold all direct reports accountable for enforcement.

    · Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures in performing daily work activities.

    · Assure all safety devices are properly in place and utilized and verify individual usage of personal protective equipment (PPE) by the work team.

    SUCCESS FACTORS:

    · Associates Degree in Applied Science in Manufacturing, Engineering or Industrial Technology preferred.

    · Minimum three to five years experience working with class “A, B & C” dies.

    · Knowledge of stamping processes and procedures.

    · Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills

    · Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast pace environment.

    · Ability to mentor and teach the team effective problem solving methods.

    · Proven leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills.

    · Ability to follow written instructions.

    · Computer literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

    RELATIONSHIPS/CONTACTS

    Reports directly to the Tool & Die Manager. Interfaces on a frequent basis with Operations, Materials, Tool and Die supervisors, and Quality Assurance. Interfaces on an as needed basis with HR, IT, Purchasing, Accounting and Maintenance.

    LEADERSHIP/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    · Provides direct leadership and supervises hourly trades colleagues.

    · Ability to identify, select, train and coach management talent.

    · Provides model behavior to demonstrate corporate values.

  • Qualifications
    • Must have sufficient front office experience.
    • Knowledge of skills to perform all secretarial/clerical support tasks (typing, filing).
    • Knowledge of basic methods and procedures and complex methods for coordinating and scheduling clinical care.
    • Skill and precision in use of the tools, materials and equipment, to include expert knowledge of telehealth technologies appropriate for each type of visit and how to troubleshoot technical issues that may arise with the technology.
    • Minimum of two (2) years of current medical and clerical experience working in a similar environment. (Outpatient clinical and/or other hospital experience preferred).
    • Excellent customer service and communication techniques related to population.
    • Knowledge of specialized terminology associated with the work in the facility and in-depth knowledge of the terminology used in Primary care practice.
    • Ability to follow orders and works under close supervision, while demonstrating initiative and independence.
    • Ability to provide educational material to patients and/or families regarding proper e health care activities, such as giving injections, taking blood pressures, etc.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills along with proper telephone etiquette.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software, Electronic Medical Records and computer maneuverability.
    • Must have exceptional diplomatic communication skills and experience in handling difficult customer situations.
    • Must be detailed oriented and have the ability to multi-task.
