Dayton-Granger, Inc. (DG) has been designing and manufacturing critical aerospace systems for over 82 years, supporting major commercial and military aviation programs worldwide. From our fully integrated facility in Fort Lauderdale, FL, we deliver high-precision antennas, lightning protection, and electrostatic components with speed, quality, and reliability.

We are seeking a driven Supplier Quality Engineer to take ownership of supplier performance from day one. In this role, you won't just enforce compliance—you'll partner directly with suppliers, assess risk, and drive sustainable improvements that support cost, delivery, and flight-critical quality standards. You'll also work closely with internal teams to resolve issues and proactively shape inspection plans before problems reach the production floor.

If you're data-driven, confident in problem-solving, and motivated by work that directly contributes to aircraft safety and supplier success—this is your opportunity to lead and grow.

    What You'll Do

    • Own the supplier quality process: audit, qualify, and drive improvements across key suppliers

    • Lead corrective and preventive actions using 8D, 5 Whys, and Root Cause methodologies

    • Manage and review First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) per AS9102 and customer specifications

    • Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, and Manufacturing to align supplier performance with internal quality standards

    • Track key supplier metrics (PPM, OTD, NCRs), escalate risks, and drive supplier accountability

    • Ensure documentation is compliant, accurate, and audit-ready for internal or customer reviews

    • Support continuous improvement initiatives that increase reliability and reduce delays

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all supplier quality-related concerns

    What You'll Bring

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing preferred)

    • 3+ years of supplier quality experience in a manufacturing environment

    • Strong working knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and industry quality standards

    • Experience conducting supplier audits, developing inspection plans, and leading root cause analysis

    • Excellent communication, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience

    • CQE or CSQE certification

    • Familiarity with multi-site or global supply chains

    Why Join DG?

At DG, your work has visible, lasting impact—and your voice is heard. We combine the legacy of an 82-year aerospace manufacturer with the culture of a modern, tight-knit team. With all departments under one roof, you'll gain exposure and responsibility that's hard to find elsewhere in the industry.

You'll work cross-functionally, solve real challenges, and contribute directly to mission-critical systems that fly. Whether you're optimizing supplier performance or preventing production delays, your work directly supports aircraft safety, reliability, and innovation.
