Job Brief
The successful Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for supporting all purchasing functions, supporting negotiation of pricing on surplus/overstock purchase, finding new inventory sources, reviewing and optimizing supply chain report and metrics, and driving efficiency into the item set-up processes. This role will be instrumental in driving inventory value through the development and implementation of product sets, the efficient and optimal use of the ERP, the development of new reporting, and the creation of an ongoing supply outreach process. This role will interface significantly with sales, operations, and finance.
Responsibilities
- Support the systemization and enhancement of the Supply function.
- Review and mine data from POs and transactions. Help to maintain and clean transactional data, such as closing of lingering POs and resolving shortage issues on orders.
- Work collaboratively with Sales, Operations, and Finance to support the business strategy regarding inventory and supply.
- Review Inventory for potential value enhancements, such as building equipment sets or liquidation.
- Develop supply chain metrics and reporting that will help optimize buying processes and inventory management.
- Reduce the utilization of outside organizations for the purpose of ERP management, supply reporting, and metric generation
- Become expert in ERP utilization and modification efforts for the supply function
- Focus on supplier outreach systemically to ensure sources of supply exist to meet demand
- Adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined and detailed in the Employee Handbook
- Communicate with customers, vendors, and team to meet commitments.
- Ensure records are maintained and reports are completed in a timely manner
- Any additional responsibilities as assigned by the Supply Chain Leader.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field, or 2+ years of equivalent work experience
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to motivate and lead a team
- Inventory control and operational knowledge to formalize processes and best practices
- Knowledge of distribution center and inventory management ERP tools with an aptitude to learn (Microsoft Business Central experience is a plus)
- Ability to analyze situations and implement solutions in a timely manner
- Hands-on contributor with the ability to manage multiple initiatives
- Energetic and self-motivated with a strong attention to detail
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) with strong capabilities in Excel
- Strong problem-solving techniques and statistical analysis skills
- Some travel to tradeshows, company facilities, and/or vendors as needed
