This role is primarily responsible for assuring inventory management and controls, including chargemaster maintenance and par level assurance and providing accurate details of day-to-day inventory. This person is accountable for maintaining records of quantity and value of material stocked in the organization and is responsible for inventory control functions while coordinating departmental needs within the organization.
Responsibilities:
· Assess supplies, inventory, and ultimate delivery of all departments of the hospital.
· Run Pyxis reports - stock all Pyxis and perform Pyxis transactions when needed.
· Issue Purchase Orders when Purchasing Manager is away. Fill all special requisitions and communicate special orders to Materials Management Director.
· Run a series of inventory reports on daily, weekly, or monthly bases and perform detailed analysis and reconciliation of items used.
· Manage the RTV (Return to Vendor) process; includes item documentation - tracking, adjusting, and destroying.
· Input product description information in current inventory and internet systems.
· Ensure that inventory shrinkage (which means loss of inventory due to theft, fraud, loss, damage, or counting errors) is kept to an absolute minimum.
· Maintain records of each product's inventory count must be constantly maintained so that no product is ever out of stock.
· Develop processes of inventory counts in order to help the periodic inventory count by departments.
· Assist Materials Management Director in development of inventory policies for prevention of loss and control.
· Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
· Prefer high school graduate or GED.
· Prefer 1-2 years of inventory handling experience in industrial warehouses.
· Prefer inventory related entry-level experience.
· Should be well versed in basic computer operations.
