    Job Description

    LOCATION: THIS POSITION WILL TRAVEL TO CRANE AND OTHER MILITARY BASES IN THE NORTH CENTRAL REGION AS NECESSARY

    POSITION PURPOSE:

    • This position is responsible for managing customer relationships and driving sales through SupplyCore’s variety of program offerings, with a strong emphasis on sales under the MRO (maintenance, repair and operations) and SOE (Special Operational Equipment) TLS program.  This position will also coordinate heavily with the supply chain, establishing Dealer of Record relationships. Account Managers are responsible for cultivating successful relationships, monitoring customer satisfaction, and maintaining accurate and detailed data on customer needs and opportunities.

    • Generates sales under the assigned programs, with strong emphasis on sales growth within the MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) and SOE (Special Operational Equipment )TLS program. Identifies and aligns customer needs with SupplyCore’s program offerings
    • Identifies and removes obstacles to customer penetration, conversion and resolves customer disputes/complaints in timely fashion in conjunction with the assigned Client Support Representative or Procurement Specialist
    • Visits customer sites frequently to develop new relationships, discuss program satisfaction and seek order opportunities.
    • Identifies customer needs and priorities, and the aligned manufacturers and suppliers to meet those needs.
    • Maintains detailed documentation on customer information (needs, priorities, opportunities), forecasts and constraints of assigned locations.
    • Conducts follow-up on leads generated via marketing campaigns and internet inquiries.
    • Provides feedback to the marketing team on areas of opportunity.
    • Attends trade shows and industry events as needed.
    • Continuously develops and increases knowledgebase of US Military and US Government operations & the associated supply chains.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

    • Travel requirements for this position are extensive.  Expect approximately 50% of the time to be spent traveling.

     

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: any combination of equivalent education and work experience will be considered.

    EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent military or civil service experience

    WORK EXPERIENCE:

    • Three (3) years’ experience with Military Supply Activities or Government Sales.
    • Understanding of government acquisition and federal contracting processes & procedures.

    SKILL BASED REQUIREMENTS:

    • Professional demeanor, ability to build report and develop meaningful relationships.
    • Strong negotiation skills.
    • Excellent listening and communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Exceptional presentation skills.
    • Proven ability to work in a self-directed environment and follow through on details.
    • Proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license.
    • Upon successful hire, this position will be required to go through an extensive background check process for base clearance.
    • PC proficiency working with MS Office (SharePoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
