SUMMARY

20 hour per week position responsible for providing a minimum of 10 hours of Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) each week to youth with a mental health diagnosis who have experienced foster care and/or been adopted. TBS includes building coping skills, affect regulation, self-confidence, and behavior management in clients, among other skills needed for successfully navigating childhood. Most work is completed outside of school hours which requires night and weekend work.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

build and maintain relationships with foster/adoptive families

build rapport with clients and provide TBS

handle client inquiries and minor complaints

provide independent living services

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

a bachelor's degree or a high school diploma with 3 years of experience providing behavioral health services

experience working with children

computer skills and knowledge of office software packages

relationship building skills with children and young people

valid driver’s license and car insurance as well as a reliable vehicle with valid registration
