Position Overview: The Support Staff role at Big Bad Breakfast is essential to keeping our front-of-house running smoothly and our guests happy. This position supports servers and hosts by running food, bussing tables, assisting with guest flow, and creating a welcoming dining experience. Support Staff are team players who thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in delivering great hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
Run food quickly and accurately from the kitchen to guests
Bus, clean, and reset tables efficiently to maintain a smooth guest flow
Assist with hosting duties, including warmly greeting guests and managing waitlists as needed
Support servers and front-of-house team during peak service times
Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, service stations, and entryways
Operate POS systems and payment terminals when required
Handle food, beverages, and equipment safely and properly, following all health and safety guidelines
Communicate clearly and effectively with guests, kitchen staff, and teammates
Work comfortably in tight spaces, loud environments, and high-pressure situations
Lift, carry, and move items up to 50 lbs
Perform side work and opening/closing duties as assigned
Assist with additional tasks as needed to ensure the restaurant operates smoothly and efficiently

Ability to stay calm, focused, and efficient in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
Ability to stand and move for extended periods of time
Comfortable multitasking and adapting to changing priorities
Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices (or willingness to learn)
Availability to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred, but not required
