Support Staff – Make a Difference While Building Your Skills
We are looking for a caring and reliable Direct Support Worker to support a friendly and active 25-year-old man with multiple disabilities. He loves spending time in the community, enjoys being around people, and has a great family (plus a sweet dog!).
This is a wonderful opportunity for a graduate student or anyone with behavioral, educational, or human services experience who wants a rewarding role making a positive impact.
You’ll work alongside another support worker in both home and community settings, helping him enjoy meaningful activities while also assisting with daily living skills.
What we’re looking for:
· Energetic, patient, dependable, and a team player
· Willing to learn and follow behavioral support plans (experience with autism is a plus)
· Comfortable with pets (must enjoy being around the family dog)
· Responsible with medication administration and self-care assistance
· Non-smoker with your own reliable transportation
Duties include:
· Supporting community outings and activities
· Assisting with self-care skills and medication
· Light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
· Providing a safe, engaging, and respectful environment
Schedule:
· Starting: Saturday, September 20, 2025 (flexible start date)
· Evenings: Mon–Fri, 3:30 pm – 9 pm
· Saturdays: A flexible 5–6 hour shift, scheduled between 9 am and 9 pm
· 2–4 evenings per week plus some Saturdays (schedule may vary)
Requirements:
· College degree in a related field
· CPR/First Aid certified
· Behavioral or educational experience preferred
