Our client, a flexible film manufacturing company is seeking a Press Operator to work closely with the operations team to operate and set up a press printing machine to produce print designs on the various roll-ups and printing materials.

The ideal candidate for this position requires the ability to set up and operate large press machines for all sorts of printing surfaces like fabrics, paper, films, and plastic bags. 

Responsibilities:

• Operates and runs the entire printing press production on printed materials and ensure high-quality printing must meet production requirements
• Review and sort various job orders to determine details such as quantities to be printed, production times, stock specifications, etc.
• Select and install printing plates, rollers, feed guides, gauges, screens, stencils, dies, and cylinders in machines according to specifications, using hand tools
• Monitor feeding, printing, and racking processes of presses to maintain specified operating levels and to detect malfunctions, making adjustments as necessary
• Maintaining the printing equipment to factory specifications and contacting the maintenance department for inspecting overall functions as needed

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of press operating experience in a fast-paced manufacturing industry
• Hands-on knowledge to operate computer-based large printing machines, monitor displays, and printing set-up, and readjust machines to ensure finished assemblies conform to specifications
• Demonstrated ability to work safely and effectively in a production environment with barriers including but not limited to, high noise levels, physical obstacles, exposure to chemicals, etc.
• Ability to comprehend job details and printing instructions to meet the expectations, specifications, and requirements of the production team
• Basic written and verbal communication skills adequate to communicate with other team members and supervisors
