Our client, a flexible film manufacturing company is seeking a Pouching Operator to work closely with the machine operator and mechanics to operate various pouch lines and pouching machines.

The right candidate will operate the pouching machine in the safest, most effective, and efficient manner while adhering to established quality standards. 

Responsibilities:

• Operate and run the automated thermal pouching machine/pouching system and ensures the proper materials, work instructions, and control are used for each production
• Inspect and set up the machines to run pouching processes based on customer specifications, ensuring quality standard process throughout the run and maintaining machine efficiencies
• Cleans and organize the machines daily and prepare equipment for the next run to include size changes, format, and other specifications as needed
• Identify defects that can be encountered during the pouching operations and apply corrective action and contact the maintenance department when needed
• Work closely with manufacturing supervisor, and quality assurance to assure that all production objectives related to poaching activities are efficiently achieved

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of pouch making experience in a related field of manufacturing
• Understands safety and quality instructions for pouching operations and ability to interpret technical documentation, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and maintaining the equipment to factory specifications
• A detailed eye for detecting quality imperfections during production, and the ability to make quality decisions while under production pressure
• Basic written and verbal communication skills adequate to communicate with other team members and supervisors
• Physical Requirements: Twisting, turning, squeezing, reaching, reaching over equipment, kneeling, crawling, pulling, extended periods of standing, ability to lift 50 pounds
