Job Description

This is a key role with the primary duty to enable teams to implement IaaS & PaaS environments on Azure and migrate existing on-premises environments to the Azure cloud. The candidate will have a background designing and implementing networks on-premises and in Azure. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Present audience-appropriate explanations of infrastructure and networking practices to technical staff within an organization (technical management, operations, and technical teams)

· Create secure hybrid deployments of virtual machines, networks, and PaaS solutions in Azure

· Assist to plan and migrate existing systems to Azure

· Create repeatable processes using infrastructure-as-code-practices, especially via use of ARM templates

· Collaborate with onshore and offshore resources

· Work with Project teams to understand and accommodate application architecture and the App’s specific requirements for Azure networking.

· Fulfilling on-call responsibilities as part of the team’s rotation.

· Security Compliance

· Maintain site reliability and high availability

· Monitoring, alerting and incident management

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

· 5+ years of experience with Azure

· Experience configuring Windows and scripting solutions with PowerShell

· Experience configuring Linux and scripting solutions with Bash

· Experience with Infrastructure-as-code technology (Terraform, Chef, Ansible, Azure ARM templates, Packer, or similar)

· Experience in Automation of CI/CD Pipelines

· Experience with VDI Solutions such as RDS, Citrix, AWS Workspaces or Azure Virtual Desktop

· In depth knowledge of Azure hybrid architecture and security.

· Knowledge of both RDBMS and NoSQL database solutions like MSSQL, ElasticSearch, Redis, etc. from an Operations perspective

· Experienced in Scrum/Agile methodologies

· Experienced in Atlassian Production (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, etc.)

· Experience in implementing and utilizing SIEM solutions

· Strong knowledge of information security exploits, threats, and adversarial tactics, e.g. OWASP Top 10, MITRE ATT&CK.

· Experience in utilizing APMs such as NewRelic

· Experience with any of the following technologies is a plus:

• • ARM templates
    • Azure Site Recovery or Azure Migrate
    • Docker or Kubernetes
    • PowerShell DSC
    • Azure Active Directory (AAD)
    • Active Directory (AD)

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

· 5+ years of experience designing and deploying IaaS/PaaS and networking solutions on Azure

· Hands-on experience planning and implementing Azure migrations & network designs

· PowerShell and Bash scripting experience

· Experience with infrastructure-as-code
